I’m reading the instructions as I write this, and I am now filling in the blanks. Now I have to select a category if needed? Do I need one? I’m not sure. Explanations are below. So I go to screen options. Here I can choose an edit box. I see categories, Click on it and nothing happens. I try tags, it tells me no tags found. OK. I try featured image and success I choose an image and select it. Excerpts are hand crafted summaries of my content. I can learn more about these, but not now thank you. Next I can send Trackbacks, but it is not clear who legacy blog systems are or why I should send them backtracks. It would help to know what a trackback is unless it is the same as a pingback, whatever that may be. So I will skip this one for now. Custom fields allow me to add extra meta data. It would help to know what is meant by metadata. According to my dictionary meta means ‘with’ or ‘after’ so with data or after data. I guess I’ll leave that one for later . Discussion means allowing comments, trackbacks and pingbacks. Ah well! Slug doesn’t seem to mean anything except I feel like slugging this info at the moment. At least I just learned how to close that last tab.
