Quilted Prairie Skirt

This quilted petticoat was a treasured item in an 18th-century wardrobe, for an elaborately Victorian lady and a simply calico Pioneer. Today, it makes a lovely all-season skirt. Ankle- or calf-length, the skirt is softly gathered into a waistband, and has a placketed side opening and optional hem ruffle. Quilting design transfers are included.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight cotton blends, wool challis, silk, satin, taffeta.
