| Elite Costume House was founded in 1910 and operated in Southern California for over ninety years. In 1990 The Horse's Mouth was formed to handle Historical Clothing, Period Uniforms and supplies for re-enactors, living historians, museums and film. At the turn of the 21st century we pulled up roots and moved lock-stock-and-barrel to Baraboo Wisconsin. We still provide Theatrical Makeup, specialty Concealors and Cover-up foundations for tattoos and blemishes, as well as Face Paints and Supplies. However, we have shifted our focus to Historical Reproduction Patterns and have started our own line called 'Patterns of Antiquity'. We continue to carry Insignia, Buttons, Fabric and Regalia.
